Steven Jaye General This a cool picture but I believe the location is incorrect. Notice the elevator in this picture is metal and has round silo's. The elevator in Dryden is constructed of wood and is completely square. I live in the area and drive through Dryden often and do not recognize this elevator. Still a very cool pic indeed! 3/7/2012 11:46:17 AM
Steven Jaye General My last comment was incorrect. This is indeed the old P.O.& N. rail line through Dryden which is now the Polly Ann Trail. The silos in this picture have long been removed. Awesome picture! 3/7/2012 7:47:24 PM
Karl Gubert General This is definitely Dryden, but the spot the picture was taken from is a bit hard to decipher. This picture was taken off the southwest corner of Liberty and Mulholland Streets looking north. The first crossing is Liberty St. The one in the distance is Main St./Dryden Rd. As of 2022 the Dryden DPW building is still there largely recognizable – expect it's painted all a light gray. That was my point of reference. I live in the next town down, Metamora. From my very young years I remember the elevator in Dryden (born 1987). Along with the rails of course, the elevator is only a memory now. 1/27/2022 9:22:20 AM
Karl Gubert General One more note, the photo is dated July 1987. Because of the lack of tree foliage and green grass, I doubt this was July. 1/27/2022 9:24:34 AM
